What you will do

  • Design and maintain core C# SDKs for Unity that interface with backend APIs.
  • Implement high-performance, asynchronous systems for streaming, caching, and instantiating runtime assets.
  • Develop editor tools and runtime APIs to query external Knowledge Graphs, including in-editor visualizations.
  • Create custom inspectors, windows, and debugging tools using the Unity Editor API for streamlined workflows.
  • Implement secure, lightweight runtime hooks for tracking asset instantiation and usage for rights management.
  • Profile and optimize memory usage, garbage collection, and multi-threaded operations to ensure zero overhead.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in game development with deep proficiency in C# (Unity).
  • Proven track record of building pipelines, plugins, or editor extensions.
  • Strong understanding of HTTP/REST communication, serialization (JSON/Protobuf), and asynchronous programming.
  • Deep understanding of game engine asset loading, reference counting, and memory management.
  • Passion for building intuitive, well-documented, and gracefully failing APIs and tools for developers.

Nice to have

  • Experience visualizing complex data structures (graphs, nodes) within a game engine.
  • Background in MMOs or live-service games with heavy server-side logic.
  • Experience with procedural content generation (PCG) pipelines.
