What you will do

• Design and specify enterprise-grade analytical components supporting CBAM risk management workflows.
• Translate CBAM policy requirements into risk scoring logic, profiling models, and alert frameworks.
• Define and document modelling pipelines for ingestion, transformation, risk calculation, and result delivery.
• Support the implementation of statistical and machine learning models for emission anomaly detection and behavioural risk scoring.
• Ensure the integration of modelling artefacts into production pipelines, dashboards, and operational interfaces.
• Liaise with stakeholders from policy units, architecture, and infrastructure teams to align analytics with business and operational needs.

Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in designing and applying advanced data science models in a professional context.
• Proven track record in developing statistical and machine learning models, including real-life applications such as fraud detection, emissions modelling, survival analysis, or risk classification.
• Experience contributing to the end-to-end lifecycle of model development — from data ingestion to deployment, validation, and integration.
• Familiarity with CBAM-relevant domains such as emissions monitoring, compliance modelling, or trade-based risk profiling is a strong asset.
• Demonstrated ability to contribute to structured analytical architecture within a cross-disciplinary team.
• Excellent knowledge of machine learning techniques and statistical modelling, including classification, clustering, and time-to-event analysis.

Nice to have

• Background in academic or applied research is considered an added value, in fields related to policy modelling or public sector analytics.
