Senior Game Programmer (C++)

Senior Game Programmer (C++): Designing, implementing, and maintaining gameplay for a long-running live game built on a proprietary engine with an accent on working safely within a large, legacy codebase and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Location: Hybrid, minimum 3 days per week at the Helsinki office. Must have the right to work in Finland; visa sponsorship is not available.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain gameplay in C++.
• Work effectively within a large and complex codebase.
• Collaborate closely with designers, artists, and producers to deliver features.
• Coordinate with external clients on technical topics, issues, and constraints.
• Communicate technical risks, tradeoffs, and timelines.
• Participate in planning, estimations, and technical discussions.
• Collaborate with QA to diagnose and fix hard-to-reproduce bugs.

Requirements

• Strong professional skills with C++.
• 5+ years of experience in a gaming company.
• Experience working with large, legacy, or long-running codebases.
• Strong problem-solving and ownership mindset.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating within a larger team.
• Passion for games.
• Must have the right to work in Finland.
