What you will do

• Design, provision, operate, and manage highly available, performant, and scalable distributed application systems on AWS.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the deployment and testing of infrastructure and solution components.
• Implement comprehensive monitoring and alerting solutions to ensure the availability and performance of the cloud environment.
• Ensure cloud infrastructure security and compliance with industry standards and best practices.
• Collaborate closely with development teams, product managers, security, network, and other operations teams.
• Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure costs, making recommendations for cost-saving measures.
• Maintain clear and comprehensive architectural documentation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of engineering experience implementing production-grade solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, System Engineer, or in a similar role, with a strong focus on AWS cloud services.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash), infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation), and automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, AWS CodePipeline).
• Strong experience with Linux system administration, observability/monitoring tools (e.g., ELK, AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Icinga, Datadog).
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, networking, serverless computing, microservices architecture, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), application configuration, secrets management, and AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or similar certifications.
• Prior experience in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Familiarity with other cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, Google Cloud) and multi-cloud strategies.
