Backend Engineer III (Go): Building and optimizing high-load backend services for a digital banking platform with an accent on distributed systems, API design, and data storage. Location: This role is ideally based in New York, which is our main tech hub. You are asked to spend three days per week in the NY office. We are also open to distributed working within the US, with ad hoc meetings in New York. Visa sponsorship and relocation assistance to New York are available.

Salary: $161,500 - $218,500 base salary plus stock options

What you will do

• Collaborate in a squad with cross-functional teams (PMs, designers, mobile/web engineers, analysts) to build the hirify.global US application.
• Contribute to impact across customer products, infrastructure, security, payments, financial crime, and data.
• Work with distributed systems and write resilient software.
• Make data-informed decisions with a product mindset focused on customer outcomes.

Requirements

• Strong experience working on the backend of a technology product.
• Interest in distributed systems and writing resilient software.
• Some experience with strongly-typed languages (Go, Java, C, Scala etc.).
• Must be based within the US.
• Spend three days per week in the New York office if based there, or attend ad hoc meetings in New York if working in a distributed manner within the US.
• Visa sponsorship and relocation to New York are available.
