What you will do

• Design and implement effective test strategies for content metadata products across APIs, backend services, and UIs.
• Embed Shift Left practices, collaborating with development and product teams to define acceptance criteria and drive quality.
• Build and maintain reliable automated tests using Playwright, alongside manual and exploratory testing.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and a quality-focused DevOps culture using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and AWS.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience testing backend services and RESTful APIs, ensuring comprehensive functional, integration, and exploratory test coverage.
• Proven expertise in developing and maintaining automated test suites using frameworks like Playwright, with strong scripting skills in JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python.
• Understanding of designing and executing performance and load tests using tools like Gatling or k6.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD processes, with experience integrating automated testing within pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Practical knowledge of cloud environments, particularly AWS, and commitment to Shift Left testing and Agile quality practices (TDD, BDD).

Nice to have

• Experience testing in microservices and event-driven architectures with familiarity in messaging platforms (Kafka, SNS, SQS).
• Strong understanding of observability tools and techniques (logging, distributed tracing, metrics).
• Experience with load and performance testing.
• Experience with code quality processes (pair programming, code reviews) and DevOps responsibilities.
