Software Test Engineer

TL;DR

Software Test Engineer: Contributing to the continuous improvement of a platform by developing extensive product knowledge and catching problems before release with an accent on designing and developing automated tests for critical paths. Focus on converting manual test cases into automated tests using Playwright with Typescript and contributing tools to an evolving test automation framework.

What you will do

• Review and analyze system specifications.
• Report bugs and errors to development teams and help troubleshoot issues.
• Conduct post-release/post-implementation testing.
• Develop clear documentation for both automated and manual testing efforts.
• Create and execute test cases for new team-level features.
• Design and develop automated tests for critical paths of the platform using Playwright with Typescript.

Requirements

• 1+ years of proven experience as a Software Test Engineer or QA Engineer.
• 1+ years of experience with Typescript/JavaScript.
• 1+ years of experience working with SQL.
• 1+ years of experience with a Test Automation Framework (Cypress, Selenium, Cucumber, etc).
• Experience with various automation testing types (Unit, Functional, Load, Security, Behavioral, Integration, Component, End-to-End).
• Understanding of the agile software development process and ability to document and troubleshoot errors using test management software (JIRA).

Nice to have

• Experience with Python and Locust.
• Experience working with APIs and web networking protocols.
• Familiarity with manual testing types (Regression, Black Box, White Box, Sanity).
