Senior DevOps Engineer (Fintech)

Senior DevOps Engineer (Fintech): Building, maintaining, and evolving build and release systems for an internal development platform with an accent on improving release cycle times and allowing developers to iterate faster. Location: Onsite in Bengaluru, India. Must be willing to work US Eastern 9am - 6pm for initial training (2 – 6 months).

What you will do

• Provide primary engineering and operational support for multiple distributed applications.
• Educate and evangelize DevOps best practices throughout the company.
• Act as a conduit between infrastructure and development teams.
• Improve all aspects of application reliability, including monitoring, alerting, and documentation.
• Engage with software engineering teams on support issues and improvements to tools, processes, and software.
• Build, maintain, and evolve the build and release systems of the internal development platform.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent discipline.
• Hands-on experience building robust CI/CD pipelines for automating build, test, and release phases in Gitlab/Gerrit/Github or similar technology.
• Strong knowledge of Git workflows.
• Significant experience and knowledge of Linux.
• Expertise with container orchestration like Docker, AWS ECS, or similar.
• Significant experience coding and automating in bash and Python.
• Must have experience with testing automation.
• Cloud experience with AWS/Azure/GCP or similar.
• Networking experience, including analyzing packet dumps, multicast routing on hosts, and packet filtering, with familiarity with tools like Wireshark or tcpdump.
• Knowledge of Terraform, Cloudformation, or similar technology.
• Must be willing to work US Eastern 9am - 6pm for initial training (2 – 6 months).

Nice to have

• Experience with Go.
• Prior experience with C, C++, or any compiled programming language.
