QA Engineer

TL;DR

QA Engineer: Manual testing of mobile applications on simulators and real devices, ensuring product quality and stable performance across platforms. Focus on identifying and resolving defects, participating in requirement analysis, and improving QA processes within distributed teams.

Location: Hybrid (Lodz, Poland). Working hours will be aligned with the UK (GMT) time zone. Ability to work from the office is essential due to physical device testing.

What you will do

• Plan, design, and execute manual test cases for mobile applications.
• Conduct testing on Android devices (emulators/simulators and real hardware).
• Identify, analyze, and document defects; collaborate closely with developers and other team members to resolve issues.
• Participate in requirement analysis and provide input into product design from a QA perspective.
• Support regression and exploratory testing activities.
• Contribute to test documentation updates and process improvements within the QA team.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a QA Engineer focused on manual testing.
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience testing mobile applications (Android and/or iOS).
• Proficiency in writing detailed and maintainable test documentation (test cases, checklists, bug reports).
• Familiarity with issue-tracking systems (e.g., JIRA) and test management tools.
• Good spoken English (Upper Intermediate or higher, comfortable for communication with the client team).

Nice to have

• Basic familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Charles).
• Understanding of build pipelines / CI environments (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
• Exposure to performance or usability testing principles.
