Database Developer Engineer

Location: Hybrid Work Model (2 days working from home) in Cyprus. Must be an EU/EFTA citizen or hold a Cyprus work permit or be a foreign national married to an EU citizen.

What you will do

• Troubleshoot, analyze, and optimize SQL and NoSQL queries across MariaDB, Postgres, Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Redis, and InfluxDB.
• Collaborate with developers to understand their database needs and challenges.
• Conduct thorough database system analysis, identify performance bottlenecks, and implement effective solutions.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation related to query performance tuning, problem resolution, and system design.
• Keep abreast with the latest technologies and trends in Database Management Systems (DBMS).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a database developer, database administrator, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases and languages.
• Ability to guide software engineers in optimizing database performance through query structuring.
• Experience working with MariaDB, Postgres, Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Redis, and InfluxDB.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python and .NET.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills to work effectively with different teams.
• Must be an EU/EFTA citizen or hold a Cyprus work permit or be a foreign national married to an EU citizen.
