Salary: 210,000 - 210,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Serve as a Staff-level technical leader across C&R.
• Drive backend architecture and system design decisions in Java/Spring-based services.
• Lead high-impact scalability, performance, and reliability initiatives from design through production.
• Partner closely with Product to translate C&R workflows into scalable technical solutions.
• Collaborate with Platform teams to improve observability, reliability, and operational standards.
• Improve system health by addressing legacy complexity, performance bottlenecks, and architectural gaps.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Expert-level Java experience with deep Spring framework knowledge.
• Strong backend focus with solid relational database expertise (PostgreSQL preferred).
• Experience working in complex, legacy product domains with evolving architectures.
• Proven ability to influence technical direction beyond individual contributions.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with Product, SRE, Platform, and Support.

Nice to have

• Experience with Angular or modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Background in data-heavy systems, analytics, or performance optimization.
• Familiarity with AWS best practices, DevOps, or SRE operating models.
• Exposure to compliance, regulated, or operationally complex products.
