HR Generalist
Microsoft

📍 Brussels (Belgium) Hybrid · 3 days/week in-office

Microsoft is looking for an experienced HR Generalist to support the Belgium & Luxembourg legal entities while contributing to HR operations across the Europe North region. This is a high-impact role for a process-driven HR professional with strong expertise in local labor law and experience working in matrixed international environments.

What you’ll do
— Maintain and update HR policies to ensure full compliance with Belgian & Luxembourg labor regulations
— Partner with the broader HR ecosystem to deliver a compliant, high-quality employee experience
— Support HR projects (onboarding enhancements, acquisitions, policy & process improvements)
— Facilitate HR governance and maintain accurate information on immigration, mobility, offer governance
— Collaborate proactively with business leaders, Workers Councils, and committees to ensure statutory compliance and trusted partnerships
— Represent Belgium & Luxembourg within the EMEA ONEHR team, identifying needs and driving implementation
— Partner closely with Finance, Payroll, Procurement, and Legal on compliance topics
— Deliver data-driven HR insights and automated reports for leaders
— Act as the HR lead for crisis management and business continuity planning
— Develop and manage employee engagement programs, well-being initiatives, and resource groups
— Coach leaders to help sustain a high-performance culture

What you bring
— Bachelor’s degree in HR, Legal, Business, Psychology (or equivalent experience)
— Strong experience in HR operations, HR generalist work, or labor law–heavy HR roles
— Expert knowledge of Belgian & Luxembourg labor law
— Proven experience collaborating with Workers Councils / employee representative groups
— Strong understanding of GDPR, health & safety, benefits, HR documentation, and compliance frameworks
— Experience working in an international, matrixed environment

Preferred:
— Strong relationship-building and influencing skills
— Collaborative, proactive, solution-focused mindset
— Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment
— Fluency in French, Dutch, and English
