Your role. You arer a principled software engineer who loves tough systems problems: distributed pipelines, async/event-driven services, API/SDK design, and production hardening. You’ll own key services end-to-end and help push Traigent from works at scale to enterprise-grade. for orchestration, evaluation execution, gating, and optimization

Responsibilities
Own and evolve Python microservices workflows
Build and harden distributed evaluation pipelines (e.g., execution, scheduling, retries, idempotency)
Design clean, stable APIs for service-to-service comms and for our SDK/decorators + CLI (versioning,ergonomics, backward compatibility)
Engineer for scale + correctness: queueing, backpressure, fault tolerance, multi-tenant isolation, and SLAs
Raise the bar on quality: testing strategy, contract tests, CI/CD gates, release discipline
Drive observability: metrics, logs, tracing, profiling, and cost/latency budgeting
Strong understanding of static code analysis and program transformation (ASTs, instrumentation/code injection, linters/rules engines)
Contribute as needed to light full-stack work (React/TypeScript UI for platform surfaces)

What we are looking for
10+ years building production systems; strong Python backend depth
Experience with distributed systems + microservices (async/event-driven patterns)
Familiarity with distributed compute / optimization frameworks (Ray, Optuna, or equivalents)
Strong API design instincts (SDK-first thinking, contracts, versioning, docs)
Cloud + platform fundamentals: Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and operating services on AWS/GCP/Azure
B2 English

Nice to have
Deep observability/SRE chops (tracing, profiling, incident patterns)
Infra-as-code and security hardening experience
Data/ML plumbing (retrieval systems, vector DBs, evaluation datasets)
