Location: Remote, must be located within 2 hours (time-zone) from Berlin, Germany.

What you will do

• Develop frontend and backend features and improvements to hirify.global.
• Craft code that meets internal standards for style, maintainability, and performance.
• Advocate for improvements to product quality, security, and performance.
• Fix prioritized bugs and solve challenging technical problems of high complexity.
• Recognize impediments to team efficiency and implement solutions.
• Contribute to an open source project with high visibility and transparency.

Requirements

• Several years of prior experience building web applications with Ruby on Rails.
• Solid understanding of core web and browser concepts, CSS, semantic HTML, JavaScript, Ruby on Rails, and Angular.
• Working knowledge of when and how to make code scale effectively.
• Comfortable with working in a highly agile, intensely iterative software development process.
• Experience in owning a project from concept to production.
• Proficient in the English language (both written and verbal) for success in a remote and asynchronous work environment.

Nice to have

• German language skills are a plus.
