Site Reliability Engineer (Monitoring & Incident Response): Monitoring and ensuring the reliability of mission-critical applications, specifically authentication and user management systems for millions of B2C and B2B customers, with an accent on incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis. Focus on proposing and implementing new monitoring solutions and contributing to automation to increase resilience and reduce downtime in a complex enterprise environment.

Location: Hybrid remote in Agno (Lugano), Southern Switzerland. Office presence required 4 days per week. This position is open to Swiss citizens, Swiss residents, or Schengen EU citizens with valid work/residency permits.

Salary: CHF 65,000 – CHF 75,000 gross annually (Agno/Lugano)

What you will do

• Monitor and ensure availability/reliability of critical Java-based applications.
• Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and downtime reduction.
• Manage and optimize observability platforms (Splunk, Grafana, Dynatrace).
• Automate monitoring and diagnostic tasks using Bash and Ansible.
• Administer Linux environments, including networking, firewalls, and certificates.
• Contribute to development or operational tasks (Java, Spring Boot, automations) during non-monitoring weeks.

Requirements

• Strong experience with Linux system administration (networking, firewall, certificate management).
• Hands-on experience with monitoring/observability tools (Splunk, Grafana, Dynatrace).
• Software development skills, ideally in Java (Spring Boot, Maven).
• Scripting expertise (Bash, Ansible) for automation and diagnostics.
• Ability to analyze and resolve complex incidents in enterprise environments.
• Fluency in both Italian and English is mandatory.
• Must be a Swiss citizen, Swiss resident, or Schengen EU citizen with valid work/residency permit.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of authentication protocols (SAML, OAuth/OIDC).
• Experience with Jenkins, Docker, Kafka, ArgoCD.
• Familiarity with distributed and secure system architectures.
• Proficiency in German.
