Site Reliability Engineer (Monitoring & Incident Response): Monitoring and ensuring the reliability of mission-critical applications, specifically authentication and user management systems for millions of B2C and B2B customers, with an accent on incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis. Location: Hybrid remote in Agno (Lugano), Southern Switzerland. Office presence required 4 days per week. This position is open to Swiss citizens, Swiss residents, or Schengen EU citizens with valid work/residency permits.
Salary: CHF 65,000 – CHF 75,000 gross annually (Agno/Lugano)

What you will do
- Monitor and ensure availability/reliability of critical Java-based applications.
- Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and downtime reduction.
- Manage and optimize observability platforms (Splunk, Grafana, Dynatrace).
- Automate monitoring and diagnostic tasks using Bash and Ansible.
- Administer Linux environments, including networking, firewalls, and certificates.
- Contribute to development or operational tasks (Java, Spring Boot, automations) during non-monitoring weeks.
Requirements
- Strong experience with Linux system administration (networking, firewall, certificate management).
- Hands-on experience with monitoring/observability tools (Splunk, Grafana, Dynatrace).
- Software development skills, ideally in Java (Spring Boot, Maven).
- Scripting expertise (Bash, Ansible) for automation and diagnostics.
- Ability to analyze and resolve complex incidents in enterprise environments.
- Fluency in both Italian and English is mandatory.
- Must be a Swiss citizen, Swiss resident, or Schengen EU citizen with valid work/residency permit.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of authentication protocols (SAML, OAuth/OIDC).
- Experience with Jenkins, Docker, Kafka, ArgoCD.
- Familiarity with distributed and secure system architectures.
- Proficiency in German.
