What you will do

• Analyze and interpret requirements for wireless modem solutions.
• Design, implement, and optimize wireless communication algorithms using VHDL/Verilog.
• Perform functional and performance simulations using QuestaSim and MATLAB.
• Collaborate closely with verification teams for debugging and correction cycles.
• Execute synthesis, implementation, and integration on targeted FPGA platforms.
• Track project progress and report status to the management team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering.
• Strong understanding of synchronous hardware design principles.
• Solid expertise in VHDL/Verilog for FPGA design and architecture.
• Knowledge of FPGA technologies such as Xilinx, Altera, and Lattice.
• Experience using SystemVerilog for design verification.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Government of Canada security clearance (reliability status and secret level) and pass a security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP).

Nice to have

• Knowledge of wireless transmission technologies (modems, DSP).
• Proficiency with basic Linux commands and Linux scripting.
• Experience with MATLAB.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Perl, TCL, Python.
• Familiarity with UVM verification methodologies.
