Product Data Scientist (Gaming, ML)

TL;DR

Product Data Scientist (Gaming, ML): Applying statistical reasoning, probabilistic modeling, and machine-learning techniques to understand player behavior, evaluate game changes, and guide product decisions with an accent on causal inference, user behavior modeling, and applied machine learning. Focus on building reliable data systems, automating workflows, and developing models and simulations for game strategy and player experience.

Location: Hybrid, on-site position based in Belgrade. Relocation package offered for non-Serbian citizens.

What you will do

• Perform causal inference and AB testing to evaluate game changes and guide product decisions.
• Model user behavior using applied probability, statistics, and game theory to power simulations.
• Apply classical machine learning to solve complex problems and build production-ready tools.
• Design telemetry, write data transformations, and ensure game data quality.
• Create automated reports and dashboards for business monitoring and alerting.
• Conduct explorational to explanatory data analysis to provide clear insights.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Data Science or a related field.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other quantitative fields.
• Advanced knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Qlik) and best practices.
• Experience with OOP, as well as Python or R, and SQL.
• Strong knowledge of Statistics and Machine Learning concepts.
• Love playing games or following the Gaming industry.

Nice to have

• Experience with Generative or Agentic AI projects.
• Experience with cloud computing (GCP, AWS, Azure) for ML and data infrastructure.
• Experience with big data tools (Databricks, Snowflake, Spark, Hadoop) or proficiency in MLOps.
