Location: Hybrid in Mexico City, Mexico (3 days a week in-office)

What you will do

• Build and lead a high-performing cross-functional team of engineers, designers, and program managers in Mexico City.
• Architect and implement high-impact web fullstack features end-to-end in collaboration with engineering teams across sites.
• Build well-designed, reusable services and components for Niantic’s web applications.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, and product teams to align product goals with feature delivery.
• Participate in code reviews, write unit tests, and troubleshoot to ensure uptime for live systems.
• Act as a cultural, linguistic, and technical bridge between teams across global offices.

Requirements

• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of industry experience in fullstack web development.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and leading projects with multiple contributors.
• Proficiency in multiple application domains (cloud infrastructure, backend, frontend).
• Strong experience in advanced, modern JavaScript technologies and frameworks (GraphQL, React, Node).
• Required in-office 3 days per week, based in Mexico City, Mexico.
• Fluency in Spanish with ability to periodically travel to hirify.global’s global offices.

Nice to have

• Experience in backend technologies (e.g., Golang, GRPC).
• Experience building applications and products end-to-end.
• Experience managing engineering or multifunctional teams.
• Experience with Cloud Services like AWS / Azure / GCP.
