SAP Development Team Lead (SAP S/4HANA)

SAP Development Team Lead (SAP S/4HANA): Leading and optimizing hirify.global’s core SAP engineering capability for Finance, HR, and Asset Operations with an accent on ABAP and SAP BTP Build development, and strategic platform leadership. Focus on shaping a maintainable, future-proof SAP S/4HANA architecture and enabling stable, modern systems for the energy transition.

Location: Hybrid in Rotterdam, Netherlands, with flexibility to work from home and up to 3 weeks/year abroad (within approved countries).

What you will do

• Lead and develop a shared SAP core engineering team (approx. 5 engineers).
• Guide the build and improvement of SAP application logic, integrations, workflows, and Fiori interfaces.
• Coordinate external build partners and align deliverables with SAP Platform and Product Owners.
• Actively contribute with hands-on development in ABAP and SAP BTP Build, setting quality standards.
• Support lifecycle and ALM activities by preparing technical adjustments and deployment readiness.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Domain Architects, and Solution Consultants to align priorities and architecture.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading small engineering teams or technical streams.
• Hands-on capability in ABAP and SAP BTP Build.
• Solid understanding of SAP’s role in Finance, Procurement, HR, and Asset Management processes.
• Strong coordination skills with external partners and vendors.
• A structured and pragmatic mindset, balancing quality, performance, and delivery.
• Excellent communication skills and comfort collaborating across multiple domains.

Nice to have

• Experience contributing to SAP modernization or S/4HANA initiatives.
• SAP CPI experience.
