What you will do

• Design and implement scalable backend systems using PHP (Laravel) and other modern languages.
• Apply C4 modelling and architectural thinking to design new features and systems.
• Participate in full development lifecycle: concept, estimation, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and optimization.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver high-value features on time.
• Champion systems thinking to ensure technical choices align with business goals.
• Maintain strong focus on code quality, performance, and security.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in the US or able to work remotely within US time zones
• 5+ years professional experience with PHP/Laravel.
• 3+ years experience with Golang or multiple modern languages/frameworks.
• Strong understanding of OOP, SOLID principles, and design patterns.
• Experience with C4 diagrams and system architecture documentation.
• Advanced English proficiency.

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker and containerized deployments using Terraform.
• Knowledge or certification in AWS cloud platform.
• Background in event-driven systems or microservices.
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and Atlassian tools.
