TL;DR
COBOL Developer: Maintaining and modernizing the core of a high-volume loans platform on IBM z/VSE. Focus on CICS online transactions, JCL skills for z/VSE batch jobs, and VSAM dataset design and I/O.
Location: Remote within the European Union, Mexico, Poland, or Turkey

We’re looking for an experienced COBOL Developer to join a project.
What you will do
- Play a key role in maintaining and modernizing the core of a high-volume loans platform.
Requirements
- 3+ years experience with COBOL on z/VSE (OS/390/MVS also welcome)
- Solid experience with CICS online transactions
- Strong JCL skills for z/VSE (or OS/390) batch jobs
- Proficiency in VSAM dataset design and I/O
- Hands-on experience with Micro Focus COBOL tooling
- Fluent English
Nice to have
- SQL, IMS, Control-M / CA-7 scheduling
- Exposure to REST/SOAP integrations
