Overview
You will be part of the Finance Tech team, composed of Backend Developers, two Product Managers, and a QA, focusing on creating tools to help homeowners and the Finance team. You will be responsible for enabling new features and delivering a great user experience in the
Homes and Payments business domains. Together with your team, you design APIs, shape user stories, and evolve the technical foundation of our applications.What you will do
- Maintain applications that handle financial topics such as payments, revenues and VAT calculations, payouts, invoices, and reporting to authorities.
- Design, implement, evolve, and maintain backend services and cloud technologies.
- Have extensive ownership and responsibility for projects as well as helping to mentor and coach more junior members of the team.
- Build features and tools that serve our customers and internal teams.
- Deploy applications with Jenkins on our Kubernetes cluster running in AWS.
- Apply best practices and continuously learn and share your thoughts with your peers.
Requirements
- Finished studies in Computer Science, or related fields and at least 3 years of hands-on software development experience.
- Proven track record of shipping reliable and maintainable software.
- Ability to decompose a long-term technical vision into smaller deliverable units.
- Strong experience in designing object-oriented software and a good understanding of current best practices.
- Experience in writing testable code and the ability to refactor legacy code for better readability and cohesion.
