Cloud Engineering Manager (GCP)

Location: Fully remote from any location in Armenia, including home or well-equipped offices in Yerevan or Gyumri.

Overview

Seeking an experienced Cloud Engineering Manager (GCP) to strengthen the team. This role offers a chance to collaborate with experts worldwide to deliver GCP projects while also driving team development. You will oversee people management, architectural leadership, and project execution.

What you will do

• Manage the GCP Cloud discipline within the region.
• Support team member development and create a long-term vision for the GCP unit.
• Define the organizational and leadership structure within the team and recruit cloud engineers.
• Develop and sustain a team of high-performing Cloud Engineers, supervising team expansion and performance.
• Act as the principal technical liaison to clients, ensuring their requirements are understood and delivered precisely.
• Collaborate with various departments to align technical initiatives with hirify.global’s strategic objectives.

Requirements

• Background in software engineering or systems engineering with a focus on cloud computing platforms.
• Knowledge of public cloud computing services.
• Comprehensive understanding of the software development life cycle and best practices in monitoring and security.
• Experience managing production infrastructure using tools like Terraform.
• Proficiency in at least one build automation tool (Jenkins, TeamCity, Bamboo, GoCD, etc.).
• Competency in managing and leading a technical team.
