Location: Remote, mostly Europe-based team; opportunity to relocate to Germany or Portugal with visa sponsorship

Parity is a leading blockchain infrastructure company pioneering Web3 technologies including Polkadot and Substrate.

Overview

Join the Front and Integrations Team to build and maintain TypeScript and Rust tools that facilitate interaction with Substrate-based blockchains like Polkadot. Work fully remotely with a team of ~10 engineers primarily in Europe.

What you will do

  • Design, build, and maintain TypeScript-based tools and libraries for substrate-based blockchains
  • Take ownership of various codebases and projects
  • Contribute to both TypeScript and Rust projects based on skills and preferences
  • Collaborate in a remote-first environment with a distributed team

Requirements

  • Location: Ideally within 2 hours of UTC+0 timezone, but exceptional candidates outside this zone considered
  • English: Implicitly required (job posting in English)
  • Experience with TypeScript, especially open source projects
  • Interest or experience with blockchain, Substrate, Polkadot, and EVM smart contracts
  • Interest in Rust programming language and its ecosystem
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals and building HTTP APIs and clients
