TL;DR

Senior DevOps Engineer (Cloud): Maintenance and enhancement of Elastic instances, development of scalable data pipelines, and observability frameworks with an accent on cloud infrastructure and search services. Focus on designing robust data storage, scaling platforms on AWS and GCP, and troubleshooting complex system issues.

Location: Berlin, Germany with relocation support to Germany including visa assistance

What you will do

  • Maintain, support, and enhance multiple Elastic instances including system upgrades and troubleshooting.
  • Design and develop scalable, robust data pipelines and storage solutions.
  • Develop and maintain observability frameworks using Kibana, Grafana, or similar tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define observability and search requirements.
  • Scale and maintain development and production platforms on AWS and GCP.
  • Perform database backups, migrations, and upgrades as needed.

Requirements

  • Relocation support to Germany with visa assistance.
  • Hands-on experience administrating Elasticsearch clusters and related tools (Kafka, Logstash, Beats, Kibana).
  • Experience with queuing systems and programming languages such as PHP, Python, or Java.
  • 4+ years in Linux/Unix environment administration and DevOps.
  • Expertise in AWS, CI/CD pipelines (preferably Jenkins), and Docker orchestration engines (ECS, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, and system management tools.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of ML and transform jobs, Kibana alerts.
  • Experience with Salt, Chef, or similar system management tools.
