TL;DR

UI Engineer (Gamedev): Working on the UI elements of a free-to-play PC/Console game, implementing UI features in the front-end and in-game alongside meta and gameplay teams with an accent on performance, visual impact, and usability. Focus on implementing the HUD for core gameplay, the game meta interface system, and communicating with backend services for dynamic and persistent player and game data.

Location: Hybrid (4 days of work from the office in Belgrade)

What you will do

  • Implement the HUD for the core gameplay.
  • Implement the game meta interface system.
  • Work closely with the UI art and UX teams to balance performance, visual impact, and usability.
  • Communicate with backend services/engine for dynamic and persistent player and game data.

Requirements

  • Proven programming experience in the gaming industry.
  • Strong background in developing user interfaces across both front-end and in-game features.
  • React /Native JS development experience.
  • A love for working in cross-discipline feature teams.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English.

Nice to have

  • Experience working with Gameface.
  • Experience developing for PC, as well as different console platforms.
  • Experience working with networked multiplayer games.
  • Experience working with highly distributed teams.
  • Experience operating a live free-to-play game service.
