TL;DR

Backend Team Lead (Crypto/DeFi): Leading a team on a greenfield initiative to integrate DEX crypto trading into hirify.global, focusing on ingesting and harmonizing blockchain data. Focus on defining technical vision, ensuring code quality, and aligning execution with product goals.

Location: This is a hybrid role based in either of our Cyprus, Málaga or Tbilisi office.

What you will do

  • Define and drive the technical vision and architecture for integrating blockchain and DEX data.
  • Ensure high standards of code quality, testing, and documentation.
  • Work closely with the Product Manager to align technical execution with product goals and timelines.
  • Partner with DevOps, Security, and Infrastructure teams to ensure robust deployment, monitoring, and compliance practices.
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback to team members.
  • Support hiring efforts and foster a collaborative team culture.

Requirements

  • Proven experience leading software development teams in fintech, crypto, or data-intensive environments.
  • Strong expertise in blockchain technologies, smart contracts, and DEX protocols (e.g., Uniswap, 0x, SushiSwap).
  • Solid understanding of data ingestion pipelines, real-time data processing, and API integrations.
  • Proficiency in modern programming languages (Go, Python).
  • Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and DevOps practices.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

  • Finance experience or knowledge of Trading.
  • Knowledge of hirify.global.
  • Contributions to open-source blockchain or DeFi projects.
