Middle-Senior Game Backend C++ Developer

Location: Relocation coverage for you and your family to Cyprus (Limassol)

Overview

Work on Total Battle, an MMO 4X strategy game with a large codebase and multiple services. Develop new game features with a focus on quality, flexibility, and simplicity.

What you will do

• Design and implement new game mechanics based on game designers' documentation.
• Prepare and discuss RFC documents before implementation.
• Deliver and monitor solutions in production.
• Refactor and optimize existing functionality for performance and scalability.
• Perform code reviews and follow coding guidelines.
• Create functional prototypes and maintain technical documentation.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience with C++ in a product-oriented company
• Strong knowledge of software design principles and ability to analyze complex tasks.
• Understanding of network fundamentals (TCP/IP) and common protocols (RPC, HTTP).
• Basic knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
• Basic understanding of multithreading and concurrency concepts.
• Proficiency in Linux environments and willingness to learn Python.

Nice to have

• Samples of code to show.
• Knowledge of different back-end architectures.
• Experience designing large-scale features or systems.
• Knowledge of other high-level programming languages.
