👉Senior Data Engineer
FinDev is an international IT company with over 120 people and branches in Poland and Cyprus. We are collaborating with US financial institutions and providing niche software and end-to-end support.
We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our data team. The ideal candidate for the data-oriented role should have a strong background in Data Engineering, with a proven track record of implementing data pipelines and driving innovation. They should possess excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders, fostering a culture of teamwork and knowledge sharing
What you will do
- Improving data estate. Help data owners and their teams to acquire full ownership of their data sets: reviewing existing pipelines and giving recommendations on what should be changed in a systematic way.
- Evolving existing tool set. Take a look and tell us what should be done another way
What We Expect from Candidates- 5+ years experience in Data Engineering (data modeling, warehousing) across various industries, demonstrating the ability to adapt and implement best practices.
- Expertise in cloud platforms (particularly AWS and Azure) and their data-related offerings.
- Strong experience in Python or Scala
- Experience in designing and implementing ETL processes . ETL tools - such as DBT, Kafka etc. Schedulers: Airflow (primarily), Dagster.
- Databases: Oracle, Snowflake, MongoDB.
- Experience in advising and mentoring team members, promoting a collaborative environment, and driving the adoption of new technologies.
- A demonstrated ability to uplift the data engineering landscape, encouraging innovation and continuous improvement within the team
