What you will do

• Underwrite and grow the Liability book of business profitably within the assigned region.
• Establish, develop, and expand relationships with brokers and customers in Spain, Portugal, and Italy.
• Negotiate insurance conditions for large and midsize projects, with a primary focus on Liability.
• Develop Underwriting strategies, guidelines, standards, processes, and tools.
• Collaborate with the General Manager and Liability department to ensure portfolio development and profitability.
• Represent the company at regular broker and client meetings, including some travel.

Requirements

• Proven experience in an Underwriting function and a deep understanding of the regional insurance market.
• Fluency in Spanish and a good level of written and spoken English.
• Legal right to live and work in Spain.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions while maintaining profitability.
• Strong interpersonal and partnership skills for strategic planning.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Portuguese and/or Italian.
