TL;DR
Wealth Advisor: Providing client support and excellent client experiences by advising on portfolio investments and building moderate client plans and proposals with an accent on investment suitability assessments, financial planning strategy, and long-term client relationship management. Focus on onboarding support, proactive client education, and coordinating with internal portfolio services, investments, products, operations, and client services to execute client relationship strategies.
Location: Calgary Office (Winnipeg, Calgary, Edmonton, and Halifax locations available). Current work authorization for Canada is required.
Salary: Base salary range $100,000 to $140,000 annually.

What you will do
- Partner with the transition team during onboarding of new clients and provide concierge-style support to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
- Proactively contact existing clients to educate them about products and services and support onboarding through a digital-first experience.
- Develop investment and financial planning strategies for moderate/basic long-term goals, including using financial planning software and guiding investment suitability assessments.
- Manage an assigned client base in a team-based model, educate clients and prospects, and strategize to increase client penetration and sales.
- Develop and maintain long-term client relationships by delivering appropriate service levels (meetings, planning, reporting, and responses).
- Provide exceptional client experience and operational/onboarding support by liaising with back-office and middle-office partners.
Requirements
- Work authorization for Canada is required.
- 5+ years of experience in the financial services industry.
- In-depth knowledge of product structures, capital markets, and investments, plus strong familiarity with financial planning tools/software.
- Completion of a University degree in Business, Commerce, Finance (or related) or equivalent work experience.
- Must be licensed as a Registered Representative (RR) with ability to sell mutual funds and securities; must meet CIRO proficiency requirements.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including ability to simplify complex financial planning concepts; ability to work in a team environment.
Nice to have
- Bilingual in English/French.
- Working towards CIM or CFA (Level 1).
- CFP (Certified Financial Planner) or PFP (Personal Financial Planner).
