What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise integration solutions between the Veterans Enrollment System and internal/external partner systems.
• Collaborate with enterprise architects and technical leads to ensure interoperability across platforms.
• Support bi-directional data exchange with systems such as VistA, Oracle EHRM, and VA Profile.
• Manage and sustain production integration interfaces supporting mission-critical services.
• Monitor integration performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements for reliability and scalability.
• Participate in architectural reviews and technical solution design activities.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States
• Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of professional experience.
• Proven experience integrating enterprise systems across multiple platforms and environments.
• Strong background in troubleshooting complex distributed application and data integration issues.
• Experience with data exchange patterns, messaging systems, API integrations, and event-driven architectures.
• Experience managing integration interfaces across multiple business partners and stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with Java 17+, Spring Boot, Spring WebFlux, Kafka, Redis, and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with legacy systems like MUMPS (VistA), Apache Struts, or IBM ODM.
• Understanding of government contracting requirements and regulations.
