What you will do
- Lead end-to-end legacy data migrations, including schema mapping, profiling, and automated rollback procedures.
- Design and maintain cloud-native data pipelines using event-driven infrastructure like SNS, SQS, and Lambda.
- Architect production-ready data analytics repositories that are fully monitored and documented.
- Drive data governance initiatives, including lineage documentation and standardization of data dictionaries.
- Align data architecture to ensure seamless access patterns for BI tools and web platforms.
- Present architectural decisions to diverse stakeholders, including engineers, product owners, and federal agency partners.
Requirements
- Must be a US-based resident and able to pass federal background investigations.
- 7+ years of relevant data architecture experience.
- Proven expertise in large-scale legacy data migrations and schema mapping.
- Hands-on experience with relational (Oracle, RDS) and non-relational databases.
- Strong grasp of AWS services (S3, CloudWatch, OpenSearch) and Azure/M365 environments.
- Deep understanding of data governance principles and lineage documentation.
Nice to have
- Experience with federal agency data environments or government digital services.
- Familiarity with digital artifact and content management lifecycles at scale.
- Experience implementing automated reconciliation and referential integrity validation.
- Mentorship or technical lead experience within cross-functional teams.
