What you will do

• Lead end-to-end delivery of AI features from early prototypes to production-hardened systems.
• Design and maintain data pipelines using Spark, Databricks, Python, and Kafka to transform signals into model inputs.
• Integrate ML/LLM capabilities such as embeddings, similarity search, and ranking into backend flows and APIs.
• Develop AI workflows and automated evaluation systems (e.g., LLM-as-judge) to ensure accuracy, safety, and performance.
• Ensure operational health through robust testing, deployment pipelines, and observability stacks.
• Collaborate with AI/ML and Agentic AI teams to scale 0→1 AI capabilities across the shopper journey.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Python, Java, or Kotlin with experience delivering scalable services in AWS or GCP.
• Hands-on experience with distributed systems and data processing (Spark, Databricks, Kafka).
• Proven track record of shipping at least one ML or LLM-based feature to production.
• Experience with prompt engineering and AI evaluation frameworks.
• Comfortable with Kubernetes, event-driven architectures, and modern observability tools.
• Must be based in Mexico.
