Описание вакансии
TL;DR
Staff Edge Compute Systems Engineer (Edge AI/ML): Contribute to the architecture and development of a GPU-accelerated onboard compute platform for flight deployment with an accent on on-orbit AI/ML inference, real-time performance optimization, and integration with spacecraft avionics. Focus on designing reliable, fault-tolerant edge compute stacks under strict spaceflight constraints and delivering production-grade systems ready for operational deployment.
Location: Westminster, CO
Salary: $102,000.00 - $170,000.00 annually (Colorado)
Company
builds spatial intelligence solutions and resilient, autonomous space systems with onboard computation and AI.
What you will do
- Architect and develop ’s GPU-accelerated onboard compute platform for flight deployment.
- Guide technical direction for NVIDIA-based embedded systems, balancing performance, power, reliability, and scalability.
- Design and optimize GPU-accelerated compute stacks for on-orbit AI/ML inference under spaceflight constraints.
- Develop high-performance C/C++ and GPU-accelerated components; lead end-to-end performance optimization (memory management, quantization, runtime tuning).
- Integrate compute subsystems with spacecraft avionics, sensors, radios, and command/telemetry systems; support bring-up, HIL validation, profiling, and flight-representative testing.
- Design for reliability, fault tolerance, and autonomous operation in constrained/degraded environments; evaluate and integrate emerging onboard processing approaches.
Requirements

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Significant experience developing software for space, aerospace, or other mission-critical embedded systems.
- Strong C/C++ expertise for performance-critical, real-time systems and experience optimizing in resource-constrained environments (power, thermal, memory, latency).
- Experience with Linux-based embedded platforms, cross-compilation, debugging, and performance tuning.
- Experience deploying or optimizing AI/ML inference workloads in embedded/edge environments; familiarity with spacecraft/aerospace subsystem interfaces (e.g., SpaceWire, CAN, Ethernet, PCIe, telemetry/command architectures).
Nice to have
- Experience with NVIDIA GPUs or GPU-accelerated systems (CUDA a plus).
- Familiarity with AI/ML inference acceleration frameworks (TensorRT, ONNX Runtime, or similar).
- Exposure to radiation-aware design or flight-qualified hardware considerations.
- Experience supporting system bring-up, HIL testing, or flight validation.
- Background in distributed, fault-tolerant, or autonomous systems.
Culture & Benefits
