Senior Underwriter Energy (Renewable Energy)

What you will do

• Underwrite and grow the Energy and Construction book of business profitably.
• Develop and expand broker and customer relationships in Southern Europe.
• Assess risks, coverage, and terms for large and midsize renewable energy projects.
• Act as a technical point of reference for the Engineering and Construction community.
• Contribute to the development of regional marketing strategies and underwriting guidelines.
• Support the team in managing CAT accumulation and treaty renewals.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of five years engineering underwriting experience in the Renewable Energy sector.
• Validated experience as a project engineer, including testing/commissioning of large renewable projects.
• Proficiency in Spanish and English.
• Legal right to live and work in Spain.
• Strong broker and client network with analytical skills in natural catastrophe peril modelling.

Nice to have

• Additional knowledge of Italian or Portuguese.
