What you will do

• Underwrite retail excess casualty business for the West Region by reviewing, analyzing, accepting, and declining risks to ensure profitability.
• Review terms, conditions, and pricing; underwrite renewal business and handle related servicing.
• Underwrite and select new business to produce underwriting profit.
• Communicate with regional managers and product line leaders on accounts and producers; make recommendations on operations, systems, and procedures.
• Review submissions to identify exposure and risk; implement corrective measures on renewal accounts as needed.
• Provide training/technical assistance to underwriting staff and monitor producers for profitability and production.

Requirements

• US Work Authorization required; hirify.global does not provide visa sponsorship.
• 3+ years of experience in retail excess casualty underwriting expertise.
• Demonstrated technical knowledge and skills showing progression of increasing responsibility.
• Experience in the retail channel with a following of producers.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Up to 25% travel.
