Software Engineering Intern

TL;DR

Software Engineering Intern (C/C++): Design, develop, and enhance low-level software for real-time embedded systems with an accent on implementing, testing, analyzing, and documenting engineering solutions. Focus on resource-constrained infrastructure and application software, including verification and validation activities across the product development lifecycle.

Location: Cambridge, MA (onsite at hirify.global’s Cambridge, MA campus; occasional work from home)

Salary: $28.00–$40.00/hr

What you will do

• Design and develop low-level engineering solutions for challenging problems in real-time embedded systems.
• Implement, test, perform analysis, and provide documentation support for software changes.
• Generate and present test reports with plots, tables, evaluation criteria, and conclusions.
• Complete assignments to build practical knowledge of engineering processes, procedures, equipment, facilities, and system interrelationships.
• Support software testing and verification/validation activities across the product development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Enrolled in an accredited full-time undergraduate or graduate degree program.
• Competency in C/C++.
• Working knowledge of real-time operating systems.
• Understanding of the product development and engineering project lifecycle (requirements development through Verification and Validation).
• Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral form.
• May be required to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
