Staff Physical Design Engineer

What you will do

• Own physical design and methodology for complex, next-generation processor chips, working with local and global teams.
• Drive design convergence across Digital/RTL/Analog disciplines to ensure timely integration.
• Implement and support multi-voltage designs across place and route, static timing, and physical verification using industry-standard EDA tools.
• Partner with RTL design teams to drive assembly and achieve design closure.
• Provide technical direction, coaching, and mentoring to junior engineers when needed.
• Write automation scripts in Shell, Python, and TCL to extract data and improve productivity.

Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive experience in back-end physical design and verification and/or static timing analysis.
• Strong experience with full-chip and sub-hierarchy integration and integrating large designs through digital design environments (including taping out).
• Good understanding of RTL-to-GDS flows and methodology.
• Good scripting skills in TCL, Linux shells, and Python; familiarity with GIT is a plus.
• Good understanding of digital logic and computer architecture.
• Onsite role in Bucharest, Romania; strong communication skills and self-discipline in a team environment.
