Commercial Lines Account Manager

What you will do

• Process new business, renewals, cancellations, and endorsement requests in computer systems and client files with insurance carriers.
• Create and send correspondence to insurance companies and clients to update, obtain, or verify information needed to service accounts.
• Review binders, policies, and endorsements for accuracy and relevance; input data into systems and maintain paper files for each account.
• Answer client questions about insurance coverages and needs, and respond to underwriter questions about client accounts.
• Assist producers with proposals, policy summaries, and account reviews; build rapport with client office counterparts.
• Support accounting with account reconciliation and look for opportunities to drive new sales while ensuring compliance with Commercial Lines Quality Control and corporate procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma plus 2 years of college or 2 years of experience in the insurance industry.
• Ability to use office equipment (computer terminals, calculators, copiers, fax machines, typewriters).
• Word processing and typing skills.
• Strong confidentiality and attention to detail.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to understand and analyze commercial lines coverages, forms, and policies; must hold the required and appropriate insurance agent’s license.
