Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Sunnyvale, CA (Hybrid: 2-3 days per week on-site)

Salary: $140,000 - $215,000 per year

What you will do

• Design and develop scalable backend services, APIs, and microservices to support platform growth.
• Collaborate with DevOps to implement cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Manage large-scale distributed data stores and develop ETL pipelines for data integration.
• Troubleshoot complex distributed architectures and optimize system performance.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers while defining technical strategy.
• Ensure operational excellence through advanced monitoring, alerting, and incident response.

Requirements

• 10+ years of production experience with large-scale distributed systems.
• Advanced programming expertise in object-oriented languages (Golang, Python, or similar).
• Proven experience with microservices, REST APIs, and distributed communication patterns.
• Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and message queues like Kafka.
• Experience building data platforms at scale with distributed ETLs and database versatility.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Practical experience with Golang, Cassandra, Kafka, OpenSearch, SQL, Redis, or Apache Pinot.
• Prior experience in cybersecurity or intelligence fields.
• Graph database knowledge (Neo4j).
• Docker and Kubernetes experience.
