What you will do
- Interpret corporate action announcements and accurately publish them for clients.
- Assess client impact and prepare entitlement calculations prior to posting payment.
- Research and resolve discrepancies (e.g., across depositories) and adjust processing accordingly.
- Process physical certificate exchanges for privately held securities.
- Act as a subject matter expert on corporate actions and deliver customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Support projects (lead/member/SME), audits, risk assessments, and process reviews; follow and help strengthen controls and procedures.
Requirements
- Work authorization for Canada is required for all openings.
- More than 5 years of experience in the securities/brokerage industry, including at least 3 years in entitlements processing (tax and legal implications for clients).
- Extensive knowledge of financial transaction processing, settlements, or corporate actions/income.
- Strong analytical thinking, accuracy, attention to detail, and proven problem-resolution experience.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet multiple daily deadlines in a time-sensitive environment.
- Good working knowledge of trading and operations within the brokerage industry, with effective communication across stakeholders and external parties.
