Location: Must be based in the US. Position is hybrid or remote; if hybrid, must work from the Toronto Head Office three days per week. If remote, must travel to the Toronto Head Office at least once per quarter.

Salary: $121,700 – $225,900

What you will do

• Lead the design, structure, and execution of the suitability and compliance function for a new fixed/indexed annuity program.
• Manage a team responsible for making suitability decisions in accordance with NAIC regulations and internal standards.
• Ensure adherence to state and federal regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Oversee workflows to ensure timely completion of suitability reviews.
• Represent the organization in industry groups to stay current on issues impacting the fixed/indexed annuity industry.
• Resolve escalated suitability reviews through direct communication with customers and distribution partners.

Requirements

• Must be based in the US.
• 10+ years of experience in annuity and compliance, ideally in a leadership role within an insurance company.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. fixed/indexed annuity products and independent distribution channels.
• Comprehensive understanding of NAIC Suitability in Annuity Transactions Model Regulation.
• Experience with annuity new business platforms such as Firelight.
• Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of coaching and team development.
