TL;DR

Senior Business Development Manager - Power, Renewables & Technology: Drive new business (new logo) acquisition and significant revenue growth for Power and Renewables customer verticals with an accent on end-to-end complex sales initiatives, territory planning, and multi-stakeholder deal execution. Focus on building and maintaining pipeline, managing forecasting/CRM compliance, and collaborating across product, marketing, research, and consulting to win new business.

What you will do

  • Meet or exceed new business sales targets by running proactive inbound and outbound sales from origination to close.
  • Target, prospect, evaluate, and prioritize opportunities; build robust pipeline and manage opportunity progression through the sales process.
  • Coordinate with Lead Management and Sales Development teams to respond to leads quickly and develop your own outbound opportunities.
  • Develop and execute prospecting programs with Marketing to reach qualified personas and customer workflows.
  • Drive pipeline by meeting prospects and customers virtually and in person; attend key industry events as needed.
  • Own sales process documentation, CRM compliance (e.g., Salesforce and Gong), forecasting, and client handover with Account Management.

Requirements

  • Extensive business development experience managing complex deals and influencing strategic direction in data & analytics, research, and/or market data.
  • Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets and independently managing a pipeline.
  • Knowledge of power markets and the energy industry, including trends and competitive landscape.
  • Experience working in or selling into relevant market areas (e.g., Power Utilities, developers, IPPs, heavy industrial/commercial power users, data center ecosystem, renewable/battery developers).
  • Strong understanding of enterprise data/analytics/research sales processes in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Willingness to travel across the region as required.
