Location: Must be based in Minneapolis, MN

Salary: $88,470 - $110,590 USD

What you will do

  • Oversee the administration and management of disability and leave claims while ensuring compliance with FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, and ERISA.
  • Lead and manage a team of claims professionals, providing guidance, development, and support to maintain high performance.
  • Evaluate complex claims and situations, making informed decisions that require judgment and strategic direction.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and global partners to align claims management with company goals.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and facilitate regular audits to identify areas for process improvement.
  • Manage demand and capacity to ensure optimal resource allocation across the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Human Resources, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in disability claims management.
  • Exceptional knowledge of leave-related laws and regulations including FMLA, ADA, PFML, Paid Sick Leave, PWFA, and pregnancy-related leaves.
  • Strong background in disability management and industry best practices.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to influence key decision-makers and drive change management.

Nice to have

  • Professional certifications such as Certified Disability Management Professional (CDMP) or Certified Claims Professional (CCP).
