Salary: $126,000 – $190,000

What you will do
- Design, develop, and operate distributed, scalable, and secure full-stack cloud services at petabyte scale.
- Build accessible user interfaces, backend services, and data pipelines for customer impact.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teammates to build AI-powered legal data solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues and guide incident response.
- Provide technical direction and mentorship through design and code reviews.
- Drive service ownership by leading reliability efforts and participating in on-call rotations.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience designing and operating cloud-native systems and distributed architectures.
- Must be based in the US (Illinois) to support the hybrid/remote work format.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD, observability, and incident response.
- Demonstrated ability to own complex solutions end-to-end and mentor other engineers.
- A strong background in AI agentic coding or a strong eagerness to learn.
Nice to have
- Experience building full-stack systems at scale.
- Familiarity with performance tuning and scalability trade-offs.
- Experience working in high-scale or regulated environments.
- Familiarity with AI-development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code.
