What you will do
- Maintain strong technical knowledge of commercial agriculture, new technologies, and competitive chemistries and positioning.
- Build relationships with university extension personnel and other territory influencers to ensure fair representation and readiness to recommend FMC products at launch.
- Develop and supervise technical support activities aligned with annual FMC goals and objectives.
- Partner with product development to align testing programs with market trends and support technical readiness as launch approaches.
- Manage research testing funds and influence trial plans through the grant-in-aid (GIA) budget aligned with regional sales and marketing objectives.
- Deliver technical product training, guide complaint handling, assist field sales representatives, and mentor junior technical service representatives.
Requirements
- Location: Must live within the TS region to service sales and customer needs.
- 5+ years of experience in technical support, selling chemical crop protection, seed, or agronomy services.
- MS in Entomology, Plant Pathology/Physiology, Weed Science, Agronomy, or other agricultural/related science (or equivalent experience); PhD preferred.
- Working knowledge of ARM.
- Ability to design protocols and research projects that demonstrate agronomic input features and benefits; proven ability to transfer complex technical information to less technical audiences.
- Strong communication skills (speaking, writing, and computer skills) and ability to resolve conflict and operate effectively under pressure.
