Salary: $55,000 – $60,000 CAD

What you will do

  • Review SEC filings and proxy statements to capture key facts for governance analysis.
  • Maintain governance-related data and perform rigorous quality checks to ensure record accuracy.
  • Apply documented client policy instructions to meeting items and escalate complex exceptions.
  • Conduct routine research and reporting on proxy voting activity and governance trends.
  • Organize and validate large data sets using Excel to prepare team summaries and outputs.
  • Collaborate with team members to resolve data or process issues and ensure timely completion of work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Public Policy, Data Analytics, Sustainability, or a related field.
  • Approximately 1 year of experience in corporate governance, proxy voting, research, or financial markets.
  • Proficiency in Excel for data organization and validation.
  • Must be based in or able to work in a hybrid setup in Markham, ON.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain quality during high-volume periods.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with Python for data analysis.
  • Experience working with large data sets and performing data quality checks.
