Salary: £39,900–£44,500 (Manchester) / £41,500–£46,400 (Guildford)

What you will do

• Design and deliver functional and non-functional testing to ensure systems meet business requirements.
• Work within an agile development team, contributing to backlog refinement, iteration planning, and daily activities.
• Identify risks early in the development lifecycle and apply appropriate testing techniques to mitigate them.
• Champion the use of AI tools to improve test preparation and overall efficiency.
• Raise defects and provide clear, accurate testing insights to stakeholders to support quality assessments.
• Collaborate on the transition to cloud-based technologies and continuous delivery models.

Requirements

• Must be based in the UK or able to commute to Manchester/Guildford offices.
• Proven experience testing within Agile environments.
• Strong understanding of the testing lifecycle and recognized testing techniques (e.g., risk-based, scenario-based).
• Ability to perform both functional and non-functional testing.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills for explaining technical issues to diverse audiences.
• Degree in Software Engineering or equivalent professional experience.

Nice to have

• Awareness of BDD (Behaviour Driven Development) and CI (Continuous Integration) practices.
• Experience with penetration testing or performance testing principles.
• Familiarity with Java or Oracle environments.
