What you will do

• Underwrite and broker business for insurance companies and partners following internal guidelines.
• Evaluate, classify, and rate risks to determine pricing and coverage acceptability.
• Implement underwriting policies and ensure organizational compliance.
• Monitor critical KPIs, including loss ratios, costs, and retention ratios, to formulate corrective actions.
• Perform agency visits, sales calls, and participate in national and local advertising efforts.

Requirements

• 3-5+ years of underwriting experience.
• Proven experience in a production role within an excess & surplus MGA or wholesale environment.
• Strong sales, marketing skills, and business acumen.
• Proficiency with multi-faceted computer systems.
• Solid knowledge of underwriting concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Must be based in Texas

Nice to have

• Insurance license.
• CPCU, CIC, or comparable professional designations.
